
Attention parents. There has been a change with volleyball practice. It will start August 14th per WVSSAC. It will be from 4 to 6 PM. Have a great evening.

Attention 7th grade parents: All students entering 7th grade are required to show proof of Meningitis and Tetanus immunizations prior to the first day of school. You may drop off the information at the Braxton County Board of Education office or fax it to BCMS at 304-765-2696. 7th grade students should also provide a copy of an updated Well Child and Dental Exam, but this is not required for school entry. Per state law, students who do not have proof of their immunizations on file will not be allowed to attend.

Braxton County Middle School fall sports practices/try-outs will begin soon. The start dates will be at the end of this message. Students must meet eligibility and have a physical to participate in practices. Cross Country will begin July 31st. Football, Volleyball, and soccer will begin August 7th. Cheer try-outs will be August 9th through the 11th. A cheer parent meeting will be August 1st at 6:00 P.M. Further information will come as it is available.

Activity bus runs will start August, 2023. Please see information below for routes and times.

To parents and guardians of Braxton County Middle School. We will be conducting the West Virginia General Summative Assessment Testing on May 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 9th. Please make sure your student brings their laptop to school fully charged beginning tomorrow morning for testing. Also, please ensure that your students are in attendance and on time as we will begin testing first thing in the morning. Thank you for your assistance and have a wonderful evening.

Attention Parents and Guardians of 6th grade students. The state of WV requires that all students entering 7th grade receive a Tetanus/Pertussis and Meningitis immunizations. Dear Parents/Guardians: This is a reminder concerning laptops being returned to school on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. This is so that the Braxton Technology office can update the Drivers in the laptops over Spring Break so the laptops will be ready for yearend testing. Charging cords do not need to be brought in. Parents/Guardians: This message is for 7th and 8th grade students at BCMS. Students will need to bring their laptops in starting on Wednesday, March 29 and turn in to their homeroom teacher. This will need to be done so that Drivers in laptops can be updated over Spring Break and be ready for testing.

BCMS softball tryouts will be held Wednesday, March 1st and Thursday, March 2nd starting at 4pm. Girls must have a current sports physical and a 2.0 GPA for 1st semester to be eligible to participate.
Girls please bring clothes for inside and outside, cleats and regular tennis shoes and a glove.

Braxton County Middle School will be having After School Homework help this evening, Tuesday, January 24, and Thursday January 26, 2023, from 4pm-6pm. Activity buses will run each evening. If your student is planning on staying, please make sure they have signed permission forms to turn in. Forms can be picked up in the school office or by calling the school at 304-765-2644.

Starting Monday, January 23, 2023, Braxton County Middle School will be starting After School Homework help. Students will receive a snack. Homework help will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. An activity bus will be provided, please find out where your child's bus will drop them off. Parents may also pick up their child. We plan on having homework help 3 days a week, a schedule will come out soon as to what days. Forms can be pick up in the school office or by calling the school and requesting a form. Please plan to have your child stay after school on Monday so we can get a schedule put together based on your child's needs.
